I’ve been teaching German for almost 30 years and from my experiences of teaching beginners through to advanced level classes, I have developed ways of teaching that make learning fun, and even the grammar enjoyable! We look not just at the language but the cultural and exciting, diverse country that Germany is. Together we learn to love the trickier parts and most importantly we will learn to understand the language and speak it in a confident manner.

Lessons cover all language learning skills; conversation, listening, writing and reading with interesting topics and stimulating material to generate discussions, linguistic analysis and ultimate confidence, grasp and improvement of the language.

What is the cost?

One-to-one classes cost £35 for 60 minutes and group sessions are £15 per person. A block of classes can be bought and a saving made.

Can I take any exams or gain formal qualifications?

Yes, I work alongside the Goethe Institute and their language proficiency standards. These exams are internationally recognised and cater for all levels; from A1 for beginners to C2 for the highest language level.

What is the proficiency level of the instructor?

I am half German, lived in Germany for a time and have extensive teaching experience across secondary schools and in private education. I gained my degree from the university of London and Exeter University.

Do you offer flexible scheduling for private lessons?

Yes, I understand the need for flexibility. I can work with you to find a time that fits your availability.

What are the class sizes for group classes

Group sizes have a maximum of six students to ensure personalised attention.
